 Sat. 11-11-- Ru-Jac Records & The Legacy of Baltimore Soul is an event celebrating the history of the 1960s West Baltimore R&B record label. Featuring performances by Ru-Jac stars Winfield Parker and Joe Quarterman as well as Joy Postell, all backed by young Baltimore musicians. Washington Jewish Music Fest event at the DC JCC with WJMF Master Artist David Buchbinder , trumpeter and composer, a jazz & world music veteran  with Artist-in-Residence Simone Baron, a pianist, accordionist and composer.   they unite for first time as Buchbinder and Baron to create a concert of rhythmically driven, harmonically complex music. The original compositions performed will draw from sources as diverse as cartoon music, jazz, Bartók, Shostakovich, Jewish and Arabic traditions, the poetry of Irving Layton and Cuban influences.
