This paradox, along with a new-found romance, sets her semi-fictional lead character on a whirlwind tour through the Cuban heartland. RIP Leroy Fleming, Saxman for Chuck Brown & the Soul Searchers

Here's my obituary for a talented D.C. musician who never got the credit or the attention that he deserved, and then had health problems at too young of an age.  Fleming was a multi-instrumentalist who helped pioneer funk with the Young Senators, proto-disco and psychedelic soul and pop backing Eddie Kendricks, and go-go with Chuck Brown.
