Dancing Through The Flames: How DC Dance Survived 1968 is a film and discussion that examines the six days of rioting in Washington, DC after the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968. The impact the riots and the Civil Rights Movement had on the dance culture of Washington, DC is told by former dancers of the African American teen television dance show, The Teenarama Dance Party (WOOK-TV Ch. 14, 1963-1970).  Light refreshment served.
